The men and women live in a giant silo underground with a few rules they believe were put in place to protect them from the toxic and broken world above. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are what science fiction is all about. The floor fans in various episodes spin in the wrong direction when it comes to the orientation of the blades.
Spinning this way doesn’t push or pull any air. Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Should Drink (2023). Something stood out from the start.
My compliments to the sound people, it’s a bit of a miracle, I often have a hard time hearing what actors are saying in shows and movies. Maybe it has something to do with the acoustics of the silo? But I don’t think so, I believe it’s due to the very good work done by the film’s sound people who recorded and edited the actors’ voices.
It’s almost like the voices of actors in the theatre, it’s so nice to be in a few episodes and enjoy the acting and the story. There are well-drawn characters and something is gradually unraveling in terms of the story and the operational details of the silo. I’m not sure where this is all going yet, but it’s certainly keeping me engaged, I’ve now finished the first series.
There’s a significant element towards the end that is identical to a revelation that happens in a movie. To avoid spoilers, I won’t say the name of the movie, but I’m sure others know the one I’m referring to if they’ve seen it. This did not detract from my enjoyment of Silo, and in any case I am not sure who came up with the idea first, as I do not know when the book on which Silo is based was written.
